Welcome to this experimental on-line course for persons seeking to enrich their perspective of the task of growing up Christians in the Church.

It is experimental in that it is a first for the facilitator/writer and for our CEF community in the North Texas Conference.

About the mechanics of the course:

This experience involves reading the fairly brief "chapters" found here on this website and then going to the discussion board to respond to the questions for each chapter and to make whatever contribution you desire about the particular subject. It is hoped that the participants will feel free to make comments about the process and the mechanics as well as the content since this is a "developmental" effort.

You may want to begin by going first to the Discussion Board and registering for the course. Click on the "Register" notation and you will be asked to give a "username" and a "password". These are of your own choosing and protect what you want protected from other users.

After you have registered you can go to the only forum presently on the Board which is this course. Click on that title and you will be asked for a password for that Forum. You will be given the password when you request to be participant from the Course Facilitator. If you have not received your password, please email the facilitator now and then return here.

Enter the password and you will come to the listing of the chapters/sections for the course. You will come to this point after you have read the particular section and are ready to respond to the questions. The topics are already chosen as they are the questions for each of the sections. If you wish you may open a new topic related to that chapter by clicking on "New topic".

When you have finished, you will want to "logout" (upper right corner). When you return next time you will simply click on "Login".

To begin reading, you will click on the "Proceed" notation below and you will come to the list of Chapters or sections of the course. You will read the first section which is the preface: "Getting Ready for the Course" or whichever section is next for you.

When you have finished reading the section, you will be guided to move to the Discussion Board where you will begin to post your responses to the particular questions offered for the topics under that chapter.
